Capitalising on the country's love for pigs in blankets - which has seen supermarkets like Tesco launching crisps flavoured like the festive treat - Glasgow's Bier Halle has launched a pizza which uses the bacon wrapped chipolatas as a topping.

Posting on their Facebook page, the bar wrote: "Yes those are pigs in blankets on a pizza! Available all through December. Merry Christmas everyone!"
The team added that the festive pizza will be available at the German beer bar on Gordon Street throughout December, though users have taken to the Facebook page to call for it to be kept on all year round.
One reply read: "Three things I love!! Obviously I’m talking about pizza, pigs in blankets and beer!!!"
While another added: "Pig in blankets pizza! Pizza heaven!"
One pizza fan however, thought his regular choice was still the best: "As nice as that sounds, sometimes I just can’t see past the Stornaway black pudding pizza"
