Inspired by her elderly parents who will be celebrating Christmas on their own, Stacey Marshall who runs East Neuk Cooks, has created a Christmas dinner delivery service aimed particularly at those marking the day without their normal friends and family this year.

Located outside of St Andrews, Stacey has created an East Neuk Cooks menu that can be delivered to households across Fife on Christmas Eve.

The dishes are specially designed to be easy to reheat and include a choice of soup starters; a traditional roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings or a vegetarian mushroom and nut loaf alternative.

Pudding choices comprise a traditional Christmas pudding or chocolate Yule log. The menu for one person costs £30 including delivery.

Speaking of the festive delivery service Stacey said: “As we look to Christmas, the restrictions may certainly affect our plans to spend time with groups of family and friends.

"I have thought a lot about people like my parents who may have to remain at home as a couple or even someone like me living on my own. I wanted to produce a home cooked Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings so we can still all have that special meal.

"This is the first time I have done anything like this and I am so excited and have already been trialing all my Christmas favourites to provide the best dinner possible.

"I take pride in the fact that all the food I make is made from scratch, -nothing is bought in prepared - so yes I will be stuffing and roasting a lot of turkey!”
