The Perth-based beer brand is calling on those bursting with creativity, and a taste for great beer, to share ideas for the next big beer flavour with the ‘Imagine & Gunn’ collaboration.

The most innovative entry will see the winner given the chance to experiment with beer flavours and work with the experts and bring their big beer idea to life.

Founder and master brewer Dougal Gunn Sharp, along with his brewing team, will select a shortlist of brew ideas that will go to a public vote for beer fans across the UK to determine the top idea.

The winner will be invited to brew their beer with Dougal at The Innis & Gunn Brewery in Perth, Scotland and the new limited edition beer will bear the winner’s name when sold across the UK in the summer of next year.

The beer brand say the competition is an "opportunity for beer fans to put forward their own ideas for exciting new beer tastes and share in Innis & Gunn’s passion for flavour and innovation".

Dougal Sharp, Innis & Gunn founder and master brewer, explained: “Ideas can come from anywhere and everywhere, andImagine & Gunn really excites me because the possibilities for beer are limitless.

"This is our way of inspiring beer drinkers to look at their beer and see something new – similar to when I had my own lightbulb moment which created our first beer, Original, and now our unique barrel ageing process where we put the barrels into the beer.

"We have never stopped experimenting and innovating and I hope this inspires people to get involved with Imagine & Gunn.”

The Scottish brewer is known for its innovation and desire to create flavoursome barrel-aged beers, using two different methods of barrel-ageing to impart the flavours and aromas from the wood into their beer.

Innis & Gunn’s Imagine & Gunn was originally launched in Sweden in 2016 with Mika’s Choice, a Bourbon Barrel-Aged Jalapeño Imperial Stout crowned as the top beer idea which is now on sale across Sweden and in the UK at www.innisandgunn.com.

Canada has also seen the its own Imagine & Gunn competition, which received over 1,000 entries and is currently open to the Canadian public to vote for their winner.

The UK will be able to share their flavour ideas to Innis & Gunn at www.innisandgunn.com until midnight this coming Friday (17 November).
