Lucy, who is based at The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery in Crieff, was nominated as an individual who shows real promise as a rising star in Scottish tourism and a passion for their future and the future of the industry.
Lucy, who began her career at Glenturret Distillery as a tour guide during her university years, stayed with the team after graduation and quickly took her whisky career to the next level, becoming Brand Ambassador for The Famous Grouse and Whisky Drammolier. The role involves touring the world and passing on her knowledge and love of all things whisky through tastings, talks and demonstrations.
Lucy commented: “This is a really great honour to be shortlisted. I love my job and it’s a real privilege to be able to share my passion for Scotch Whisky and the Scotch Whisky industry with people from all over the world.”
Lucy will have to wait until 11th November to find out if she will receive the award which will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh.
