SCOTLAND is blessed with an exceptional natural larder which sometimes produces delicacies that you wouldn’t necessarily expect in Scotland – chillies being one of them.

Last year's Chilli Fest was held in the beautiful surroundings of Scone Palace in Perth.

The event celebrated the country’s finest wares and showcases some of the fantastic produce available throughout the country.

The theme for the event was food adventures and anyone visiting the festival definitely embarked on their own as chillies from mild to off the chart hot were on offer for those brave enough to try them.

In this video, discover more about the wonderful range of chillies we can grow here in Scotland and how some of our producers are using them to make unique products.

From chilli popping candy, beer and hot chocolate to chilli gummy bears, cupcakes, cider and much more.
