The map offers a detailed insight into the excellent and varied food scene in the region - from farm shops and markets, to contemporary cafes and hotel restaurants. The Lanarkshire Larder Food Map includes six of Lanarkshire's top locations featured on venues finder - VenuesLanarkshire.com.
The new free map has been developed by leading food and entertainment guide The List working with North and South Lanarkshire Councils and in partnership with Scotland Food and Drink. The inclusion of the VenuesLanarkshire listed providers demonstrates the diversity of the county's corporate offering. The six venues included on the map are:

Crowd-pleasing menus, plus specialities including frog legs.
The VenuesLanarkshire.com locations are supporters of the regions producers and aim to use the best local and seasonal Lanarkshire produce. This includes suppliers like AG Barr, famed makers of Irn Bru; Damn Delicious, an online butcher and farmer, who rears his livestock exclusively on grass and kale; Errington Cheese, known for making Lanark Blue; and the multi-award winning artisan ice-cream maker Equi's.
The organisers champion the region's venues as being as diverse as its food produce. With Chatelherault Country Park offering plenty of space in its grounds for team building, the 18th Century New Lanark Mill Hotel, situated in a UNESCO World Heritage site and there are many luxury hotels for more traditional locations. Close to air and rail links, the region is easy to access from both Edinburgh and Glasgow and across the central belt.
