The Scottish Juniper Festival is returning to Scotland’s capital in June for the second consecutive year, celebrating World Gin Day 2015 with an exciting array of the most glorious gins both made in Scotland and further afield.

Set up in honour of the classic drink, that is once again beginning to grow in popularity, the three day event will take place in June, at Summerhall in Edinburgh. Gin brands from all across Scotland and the UK will assemble and head to the capital offering visitors the chance to discover, sample and enjoy some of the best gins available all under the guiding hand of those who created them.

"It’s a fantastic time for gin lovers with a whole new world of gin to explore and sample"

The guest list of exceptional gins includes Pickering's, Darnley's view and Rock Rose from Scotland and No.3 Gin, Ophir and Portobello Road from England.

Martin Duffy, founder, Scottish Juniper Festival commented: “The Scottish Juniper Festival was launched last year and it was such a success we’ve decided to bring it back in 2015.  Gin has always been a British classic but the gin scene is really thriving at the moment with so many new flavours and serves being championed by international, UK and Scottish gin brands. It’s a fantastic time for gin lovers with a whole new world of gin to explore and sample!

“Over three days the festival showcases a variety of these extraordinary gins through engaging talks and mixology sessions and best yet, there is the opportunity for everyone who comes along to sample them!”

The event sessions will feature talks from experts on everything from cocktails (with Mike McGINty) to choosing the right tonic (with 56 North) in Summerhall’s one hundred year old Anatomy Lecture Theatre, a truly memorable experience in a unique setting. Visitors will also be offered the chance to see the local Pickering’s gin distillery based at Summerhall.

There will be a G&T bar within the courtyard and a cocktail bar inside, as well as a gin shop and selection of local fashion boutiques and crafts on location.
