The new steakhouse has created 70 new jobs and seats up to 200 guests. It also boasts a private dining room, fully kitted out for meetings or exclusive dinners.

Tim Ellis, retail business manager, Miller & Carter said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be involved with such a wonderful historic building as part of our expansion in Scotland.

“We’ll be opening in Aberdeen city centre at the end of the summer and planning more restaurants to bring our exceptional scotch beef and quality hospitality to more venues across Scotland soon.”

As part of the restaurant launch, members of the public have been invited to an exclusive launch event where they were given a sneak peek of the restaurant before it officially opened to the public and were provided a complimentary three course meal to sample the Miller & Carter steak experience.

Bob McQuarrie, restaurant manager said: “We provided ‘sneak preview’ events to people who had signed up in advance to our database and we were pleasantly surprised when two days were fully booked within a couple of hours.

“Obviously we want to maintain momentum and we’re looking forward to the feedback we get from guests, to ensure Miller & Carter Glasgow remains as popular in the future, as it was before opening.”

Miller & Carter Glasgow is the very first of the brand to feature the ‘Steak Masterclass’ experience, where up to 10 guests can enjoy an immersive, educational dining package.
