The new eatery will be housed in a historic building in one of the city's most prominent corner sites.

Located at 85 West George Street, YO! Glasgow Central will launch on Thursday the 29th June as part of the brand's 20th anniversary celebrations

The YO! team say culinary pleasure seekers can expect "a perfect mix of YO! classics and newly curated dishes" including hot favourites such as Katsu Curry, Ramen & Miso, Yakisoba, Chahan, Teriyaki, Gyoza and Tempura, and delicious hand made cold Nigiri, Temaki, Sashimi, Rolls and Fresh Salads.

The new restaurant have also placed Glasgow’s ‘UK’s Most Vegan Friendly City’ status at the heart of their new menu with an impressive 16 vegan and 33 vegetarian dishes.

YO! says it will also be demonstrating its commitment to Scotland, by working with Scottish suppliers to source the best quality salmon fresh from the country’s shores and from this July only Scottish salmon will be served in YO!’s 78 restaurants across the UK.

Set within a prominent historic listed building, the new 72-cover restaurant retains much of the original cast iron frames, both internally and externally.

A new glass facade will also overlook the bustling hub of Nelson Mandela Place along with a further glass impression running the length of the building on the West George Street adjacency, and leading to a bright welcoming main entrance.

Inside, YO!’s now legendary Kaiten belt will frame the central theatre kitchen and snake around the entire restaurant, allowing customers to grab the fresh dishes from every seat.

Elsewhere, the team say standout design features carrying distinct Japanese references will include an Origami-inspired ceiling as well as ‘Shoji’ screen-inspired cladding on the internally illuminated belt.

A new To Go menu will also be available in YO! Glasgow Central across both hot and cold dishes.
