Super Bario, which launched a successful crowdfunding project in January, gave the news today in a post updating fans on Facebook.

The team thanked everyone who pledged and donated to their Kickstarter campaign and also thanked them for their patience, as initially they had hoped to open the bar in March but plans were delayed due to planning permission changes with issues raised concerning noise and ventilation.

Owners Shaun Murawski , Scott McLachlan and George Black, were delighted to announce that they had finally been given the all clear and tell customers will soon be able to play a variety of classic arcade and pinball games including Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat on fully restored gaming systems, while enjoying a selection of locally sourced and international beers.

George Black told The Scotsman back in March that the aim was to offer a new experience for customers, he said: “Arcade bars have been gaining popularity in the US and further afield for a few years now but are still a relatively new thing in the UK and Europe.

“We really think there’s a gap in the market for this in Glasgow and wanted to provide somewhere that offers something a bit different from most bars in the city centre.”
